The fantasy is gentle as gossamer, but there needed to be more for Into the Land of the Unicorns to qualify as excellent: more adventure, peril, surprises, wisdom, conflict, adversity, and emotion. As each bell chime sounds, Cara pushes herself faster up the steep bell tower steps that lead to the roof. Bruce Coville writes with easy flow and and command of character. ![]()
